Joanne Valeri has been an integral part of Walter Shuffain since the firm’s founding in 1994. Over the years, she has played an important role in supporting the firm’s growth while helping maintain the collaborative, client-focused culture that defines the Walter Shuffain experience. Her dedication, reliability, and willingness to support others have made her a trusted resource for colleagues across the organization.
As Director of Human Resources, Joanne oversees many of the firm’s day-to-day operational functions, including payroll and benefits administration, new hire onboarding, and leadership of the administrative team. Her broad knowledge of the firm and its people allows her to support employees throughout their careers while helping ensure internal operations run smoothly and efficiently. In addition to her human resources responsibilities, Joanne provides support across a variety of firm initiatives and client service activities whenever needed.

Outside of work, Joanne enjoys cooking, especially preparing holiday meals for family and friends. She loves discovering new restaurants, with many of her favorites located in Boston’s North End, and enjoys spending time reading and traveling with her family. She is especially looking forward to exploring Italy, a destination she expects will quickly become one of her favorite places to visit.
