Professional
In another life, mentorship is Jonathan’s calling. He listens to his clients as a friend in addition to being a partner and advisor for their ideal results.
Jonathan’s career goals are simple: he likes to work with good clients, good team members and good people. He is well-versed in what it takes to advise clients on growth, whether it be through an exit or continuing sustainability. He helps oversee and run the audit and assurance practice at Walter Shuffain while playing a large role with our client accounting services teams.
Jonathan has over 20 years of experience with clients, most of whom are private entities and entrepreneurs in the technology, manufacturing and real estate industries. He helps clients establish an accurate and timely financial narrative for attracting financing and meeting investor and or client expectations.
Frequently, Jonathan is available to answer client questions about accounting or tax strategies as he collaborates with his in-house team to ensure those needs are met and satisfied.
Jonathan earned his bachelor’s in accounting degree from Syracuse University and a Master’s in Taxation degree (MST) from Northeastern University. He spent 18 years volunteering in town government, 10 years on the School Committee and eight years on the town’s Finance Committee.
Personal
Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, who keep him busy. Seeing the Patriots win the Super Bowl, especially when he is with his two boys, brings tremendous joy to his life. He and his family are also big proponents of taking advantage of all mother nature has to offer, especially during the summer time when they spend most of the day – and some nights – outside.
