Professional
Being the bridge from business decisions to personal success.
Jonathan Yorks is a strategist who helps clients forecast future tax impacts and business opportunities before they make important decisions. He is often called upon to consult on large transactions regarding real estate, private equity or closely held businesses. Those transactions lead to relationships with developers, investors or owners who need guidance for their individual tax planning and family wealth management.
His consulting addresses the phases of investment, management and returns. As clients build appreciable assets with short or long-term horizons, they rely on Jonathan’s experience for structuring funds and operations, managing risk and the timing of recognizing personal income.
As growing business assets fuel retirement and estate planning goals, Jonathan frequently consults with high net worth clients and their families. He feels especially honored when they share their happiest news or their saddest times. In those moments, he uses his experience and trusted resources inside and outside the firm to help them move forward.
Jonathan has played an essential role in developing Walter Shuffain’s next generation of leaders and strengthening client relationships through those introductions. He has served as managing shareholder since 2013.
Jonathan graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
Personal
Jonathan met his wife, Susan, in college, and they enjoy boating and golfing when in Boston or at their home in Florida.
