Mark advises countless real estate and venture capital clients on business planning as well as tax strategy.
His 22 years in public accounting give him the expertise to guide his clients through various tax and financial matters. He is an expert on fund formation, deal structuring and transactional taxes, including recapitalization and exit strategies. With extensive experience in complex partnership waterfall provisions, 1031 exchanges, evaluation of cost segregation, and Qualified Small Business Stock, Mark brings value through perspective.
For many real estate professionals and venture capital clients, tax structuring and strategy flow through to them personally. Mark sees the entire picture and also advises his clients on personal financial and tax matters, including liquidity and cash flow forecasting, estate tax evaluation and planning, and charitable giving.
Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from American University.
Giving back to the community is something Mark values. Mark serves on the Board of Directors of B’nai Brith Housing New England, which develops senior and affordable housing in Greater Boston, and is an active member in his temple where he serves on various committees.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Personal
Mark and his wife, Shira, live in Newton with their 3 daughters and dog, Goldie. He enjoys cheering on his daughters at dance competitions, and being outside running, biking and playing an occasional pickup game of basketball.
