With a constant pulse on the day to help keep everything running smoothly, Kim's role as Chief Operating Officer helps Walter Shuffain remain at the top of its game to provide superior client service.

Kim Colesano’s professional journey began with Walter Shuffain after college, and the rest is history! More than two decades later, she wears many hats for this firm. Initially starting as a staff accountant, she crafted her own career journey. Kim’s experience fuels her ability to see plans through to action.
In addition to her operational responsibilities, Kim works with the firm’s committees on many projects, including the firm’s internship program, the staff evaluation process, and client scheduling matters. Her collaboration with these committees helps streamline processes and effectively implement new ideas that drive the firm forward.

Highly accessible to the staff, Kim is always happy to lend an ear or jump in and help wherever it’s needed. A natural communicator, Kim acts as an advocate for the staff, helping to maintain Walter & Shuffain’s culture. Her approachable demeanor makes her a trusted confidant to the team, fostering an environment where everyone is excited to contribute.

Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley University. An active member of her professional and personal community, Kim is a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs HR and Employee Benefits Committee and volunteers as an assistant field hockey coach. She also currently serves as the President, and past Vice President, of the local parent-teacher organization (PTO).
